In recent years, several vendors have started selling vibration suppression pads that consist of multiple layers of different elastic materials. Typically, these sell for about $50. I decided to save $45 and make my own. At a local hardware store, I reviewed their selection of “couch coasters” and found some old style brown rubber coasters that would fit perfectly inside some hard plastic coasters that they also had. I initially tried placing felt pads between them but that turned out to be too soft. Then I tried silicon glue. It took a few days for the glue to dry since there was limited air available but the pads are working very well. I can’t compare them to the name brand pads as I’ve never tried those but in my opinion these do fine.
