The November CAAS program is one not to miss. John Reed, one of CAAS’s master astrophotographers, will talk about his astrophotography with an emphasis on processing. He has developed new skills in this area as witnessed by his reworked images submitted lately on our email bulletin board. John has had his Astrophotos published in the Reflector. “Orion” will be the constellation of the month as presented by Darrell Heath. At 8:00 following the presentation there will be an Observatory Tour to introduce you to the owners of River Ridge’s Observatories and learn about their equipment, programs, and goals. Before the meeting there will be a “Supper Bowl” at 6:00 pm with Bruce McMath bringing Chili made from a prize winning recipe. Cost will be $5.00 per person with proceeds going to improve River Ridge Observatory. Please register at CAASAstro.org if you plan on attending the Supper Bowl. We also have received some door prizes from the Night Sky Network to be given to some lucky attendees.
Please don’t forget that we are having a board meeting at 5 PM 2 hours prior to the regular meeting. All member are welcome and encouraged to attend the board meeting as well the regular meeting.
