Pinnacle Mountain State Park will host an Eclipse Watch Party at the Visitors Center parking lot from Midnight – 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning (overnight Monday). The park plans to build a fire by the pond and have hot chocolate on hand. A HUGE thank you to Susan with PMSP for graciously volunteering to organize this event despite the facts she will be on annual leave and will be flying out of the LR Airport the following morning to begin her Christmas vacation.
The weather forecast is somewhat iffy, but doesn’t look like a total wash-out either.
More information about the eclipse can be found here: http://earthsky.org/tonight/total-lunar-eclipse-for-the-americas-on-night-of-december-2021
The park will publish a press release tomorrow with more information and I will pass it along.
