Folks:
The Central Arkansas Astronomical Society and our friends at beautiful Woolly Hollow State Park will host a star party this Saturday evening at the WHSP swim beach. The weather forecast – while a bit on the chilly side – looks fantastic for star gazing, observing Jupiter, deep sky objects through our scopes and meeting both old and new friends under autumn skies. This is our last scheduled public event for 2010. Be sure to bring along warm/layered clothing.

Here is the NWS forecasts for Saturday:
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 63. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph.
Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 38. South wind around 5 mph.
The official start time is 7 p.m., but sunset is at 6:11 p.m. so plan to arrive early. We have the pavilion reserved for CAAS members and guests. Bring a pot of chili or another favorite dish or side and let’s have a potluck beginning at 4;30. I am sure the “Bubble Boys” – Carl and Bill S. – will be doing their bubble magic at dusk after we eat and set-up.
