National Astronomy Day, April 21, 2018

| April 21st is National Astronomy Day and the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society invites you to come out to Pinnacle Mountain State Park at the Visitor’s Center for an afternoon and evening of celebration! Starting at 2PM we will have activities for everyone to enjoy. If the weather is cloudy we will use a shorter schedule, 2PM – 8PM. It’s all free and all family fun. Come out and explore your cosmos!

Buffalo River Star Party – Tyler Bend – April 13 or 14
8:00 PM – South end of group camping site demonstrating the types and use of scopes and binoculars.
8:30 PM – Tour of the Spring Sky.
9:00 – 11:00 PM – telescopic views of the Spring sky. The hardly may wish to lay about afterwards and spot a few Lyrid meteors.14th is a rain date for the 13th.
