Join CAAS on Saturday July 14th on the beach at Woolly Hollow State Park for a free public star party. We CAASiopeians will set up scopes by the lake from 9 PM to 11:30 PM to share our passion for the night sky with you! Bring your kids, if you don’t have any, bring your parents, but be there. |
Saturday July 7 – Public Night and Regular Monthly Meeting at 7 PM
Everyone, members and non-members, please join us at 7 PM for our regular monthly meeting, 6 PM if you are going to join us for the Supper Bowl.
Presentations will be as follows:
- John Reed: Time lapse-movies of the Night Sky
- Rocky Togni: Observing Evolution of the Moon
- Perry Norwood: Minute Astronomy
As always, meetings of the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society are open to the public.
Supper Bowl price will be $6 each.
NASA Night with the Arkansas Travelers at Dickey Stephens Field
NASA Theme night at Dickey Stephens Field hosted by the Arkansas Travelers, the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society, and the Arkansas Natural Sky Association.

The Travelers will be holding a NASA theme night and CAAS will be there with telescopes for a star party after the game. You can go to their website (https://www.milb.com/arkansas) for more information and tickets to the game.
CAAS will be there starting at 6PM and the star party will start at the end of the game, approximately 9:30.
