The Central Arkansas Astronomical Society held its August Bubble Fest and Star Party August 20, attended by an estimated 75 people despite the rain. Although the weather did not allow for stargazing, there were two viewings of the PBS documentary “Seeing in the Dark”, the first comfortably full and the second standing room only. The bubbly goodness continues September 17th and October 1st at PMSP, and October 29th at Woolly Hollow State Park. These events are free and open to the public. CAAS members bring their telescopes to view night sky objects and talk about astronomy. The bubbles are popular, too. – Robert Brown
Many thanks to Park Interpreter Courtney Todd for hosting the festivities.
