Girl Scouts Star Party – January 20th, 2017

This is a special evening star party to be held at the Society’s River Ridge Observing site north of Lake Maumelle, near Little Italy AR, about 40 minutes west-northwest of Little Rock. It is a free event open to Girl Scouts in middle school or older with a special interest in astronomy or the night sky.  The program will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.  Attendees should plan on arriving not later than 6:45.  There will be an introduction to observing the night sky, a constellation tour, and finally viewing through scopes and binoculars.  The program will conclude by 10:00.  The date is subject to weather considerations and if necessary will be rescheduled to February.  Attendance is limited to 36 girls.  You must register using the link below:
