Saturn is getting rather low, so I had to grab this one at dusk. Not quite happy with the color balance and it is a little noisy due to so few acceptable frames to stack. Quite a bit of detail though.

Much better seeing tonight. Was able to use 70 out of about 1000 frames. Stacked in Registax and removed noise using Neat Image. My best yet!

| Saturn 2006-04-21 21:11:52 Had large seeing cells so I wasn’t sure that I would get anything. However out of 800 frames I got about 50 that were usable. A 500 mb file converts to 14KB of useful data! However the information shows a little more cloud structure on the globe than I have been getting. I used a method called drizzling to get a stacked image twice the size of the raw images, then jpeg’ed it back down to original size.

Seeing was a little better than it was on the 13th, got more detail on the globe.

| Saturn 4-13-06. It's begining to warm up, the air is losing transparency, but it is becoming more steady. Moderate seeing allowed grabbing enough frames to aquire the above image with the ToUCam. Compare the ring tilt to the ones shot in '04. Best 30 frames out of over 700.

| Saturn 1-19-04. This time processed at 4x and used a combination of Gaussian Blur and Photoshop unsharp mask to process stack of 4 best images. Did not use Registax this time. Note Encke Division just begining to show at outer edge.

Saturn 1-19-04. Still learning. Did some additional processing and re-stacked in Photoshop with better alignment. Used a combination of Multiply and Overlay blending. Also used Registax waveletts for sharpening. Not sure if its is better than last one. Let me know.

| Saturn 1-19-04. This time I processed using Tony Sharfman's methods listed in the imaging forum. Not as much detail as using Registax, but better blending. This is a stack of the 5 best images only.

| Saturn 1-19-04. Stack of 150 images, used 60, stacked in Registax. Had to shoot fast to avoid field rotation. Enke shows in this one. Shadow of globe shows on ring, planet is now past opposition.
