Most “Club Events” shown here are open to the public. Occasionally, the Society may hold a special public event at the River Ridge Observatory, these require registration. Click an event on the calendar for more details. “Virtual” events, such as the monthly Chat sessions for Society members, are online.
“Observing Events” are happenings in the sky of interest to casual observers – eclipses, comets, meteor showers etc. that don’t have an organized element by the Society.
“Community Events” are astronomy/science-related events sponsored by others.
