National Astronomy Day, April 20 2013


Join CAAS and our good friends at Pinnacle Mountain State Park for our biggest public star party of the year.  From 20 PM to 10 PM CAAS will be at the PMSP Visitor Center with scopes, bubbles, and who knows what else.

Schedule:
2:00 to 4:00 PM Solar Observing, Solar Powered Marshmallow Roast, Water Rockets, Solar System Walk (Visitor Center Parking lot and hiking trails)

3:00 to 4:00 PM Meteorites and Asteroids, a presentation and meteorite exhibit by Dr. Tony Hall, Chair of the UALR Physics and Astronomy Dept (Visitor Center auditorium)

6:00 to 7:00 PM Light Pollution with Jim Fisher of the Arkansas Chapter, International Dark Sky Association (Visitor Center Auditorium)

7:30 to 10:00 PM Star Party (Visitor Center parking lot)
