The program for the January 12 meeting will be on Outreach. Our club has had a great outreach over the years to the community with star parties, scout events, etc. Several actions are underway that will hopefully increase our to effectiveness in Outreach to the public. Darrell Heath our new president will update us on some grants the club is working on. Christina Lynn our new Secretary and Night Sky Network Coordinator will discuss opportunities we have and a way to register our outreach hours. Rocky Togni will show the program developed to give at Scout Meetings and discuss this aspect. Sky permitting there will be a Constellation activity for all who want to participate. Bring a pair of binoculars and a red light. In addition we will have the Constellation of the Month, Orion, presented by Darrell Heath.
For those of you who like a dinner with your show, you are welcome to join us for the “Supper Bowl”. A volunteer CAAS member will provide a meal for people wanting to join in. All we request is a $5 donation. To reserve your spot and ensure we have enough food, please go to the Dinner RSVP in the upper right and let us know you are coming.
Last but not least, there will be a board meeting at 5 PM. We’ll be talking business matters from 5 until 6.
