Upcoming Regular and Board Meetings Saturday July 14 at 7PM

This coming Saturday, CAAS will meet at 7 PM at the River Ridge Observatory at 7 PM. The July program will be on the most cost effective telescope for achieving high quality viewing and deep sky images. Our expert panel (all having built dobs) will present a program on how to enhance your dob (or newtonian) to increase your observing pleasures and effectiveness.

Included in the discussions will be:

1. Newtonian and Dobsonian History

2. Reflector advantages and disadvantages

2. Optimizing a Dobsonian Reflector for better views and images

3. Digital Setting Circles

4. and more

Whether you own a dob or not, this will be an opportunity to learn more about the equipment that makes our hobby more fun.

Note: The StarBQ has been moved to August 11 due to construction going on at Observatory.

Note that prior to the 7 PM General Meeting the board will meet at 6 PM to discuss society business. All members are welcome to attend this business only meeting but it will be rather dry.

If you want to attend either meeting but don’t know how to find us, contact info@caasastro.org for directions.
